We built PsychSelfTest with privacy as a foundation โ not an afterthought.
This Privacy Policy describes how PsychSelfTest ("we", "our", or "us"), operated at psychselftest.com, handles information when you visit our website and use our free psychological screening tools.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. PsychSelfTest was built with a privacy-first architecture: our tests run entirely in your browser using JavaScript, which means your quiz answers are never transmitted to our servers and are permanently deleted when you close or refresh your browser.
By using PsychSelfTest, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
PsychSelfTest does not ask you to create an account, provide your name, email address, age, or any other personally identifiable information to use any of our tests. We do not have a registration or sign-up process.
Like most websites, our web server may automatically collect standard technical information including:
This information is collected in aggregate and is used solely to understand traffic patterns and improve our website. It is not linked to your identity and is not associated with your quiz responses in any way.
This is the most important section for most users. Here is exactly how our tests handle your data:
In plain terms: we genuinely have no record of what you answered, what score you received, or which personality type you got.
PsychSelfTest uses a minimal number of cookies. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party behavioural targeting cookies.
We may use the following types of cookies:
You can control and/or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Disabling cookies will not affect your ability to use any of our tests.
PsychSelfTest is committed to not sharing your data with third parties for commercial purposes. We do not:
We use Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com) to load typography on our website. When your browser loads a font, Google receives your IP address as part of the standard HTTP request. You can review Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
Our website is hosted on a web server. Your IP address and standard server log data are processed by our hosting provider as part of normal web operations. Our hosting providers are contractually obligated to handle data in accordance with applicable data protection law.
We may use privacy-respecting analytics tools to understand how visitors use our website in aggregate. If we use Google Analytics, it is configured with IP anonymisation enabled, meaning your full IP address is not stored. We do not use analytics data to identify individual users or link behaviour to personal identities.
We may track aggregate metrics such as: which pages are most visited, average time on page, which tests are most popular, and geographic region of visitors (country-level only).
None of this data is linked to your quiz answers or personal identity.
PsychSelfTest offers screening tools that include versions suitable for parents to complete on behalf of children (for example, our child autism and ADHD screening options). However, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.
Because our tests require no registration and collect no personal data, there is no risk of a child's personal information being stored on our platform. Parents and guardians complete child-focused tests on behalf of their children, and the results remain entirely within their browser.
If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately at the address in Section 11 and we will take prompt action.
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
Given that PsychSelfTest does not collect personally identifiable information or quiz response data, most of these rights are satisfied by our architecture. We have no quiz data to delete, access, or correct because we never held it.
For any privacy enquiries or to exercise your rights regarding standard server log data, please contact us using the details in Section 11.
GDPR (EU/UK users): If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation. Our legal basis for processing the minimal technical data we collect is legitimate interests (operating a website). You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority if you believe we have not handled your data appropriately.
CCPA (California users): If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act. We do not sell personal information. You may contact us to exercise your rights at any time.
We take reasonable technical measures to protect the security of our website and any minimal data processed during normal web operations. Our website uses HTTPS (SSL/TLS encryption) for all connections, ensuring that data transmitted between your browser and our server is encrypted in transit.
However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. Since we do not store your quiz data or personal information, the primary security risk โ unauthorised access to a database of personal responses โ does not apply to PsychSelfTest.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of PsychSelfTest after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
This policy was last updated on May 25, 2026.
