We are committed to protecting your privacy. PsychSelfTest was built with a privacy-first architecture: our tests run entirely in your browser using JavaScript, which means your quiz answers are never transmitted to our servers and are permanently deleted when you close or refresh your browser.

2. 📊 Information We Collect

Information You Provide

PsychSelfTest does not ask you to create an account, provide your name, email address, age, or any other personally identifiable information to use any of our tests. We do not have a registration or sign-up process.

Automatically Collected Information

Like most websites, our web server may automatically collect standard technical information including:

• Your IP address (used to determine general geographic region for analytics — not stored long-term)
• Browser type and version
• Operating system
• Referring URL (the page you came from)
• Pages visited and time spent on each page
• Date and time of your visit

This information is collected in aggregate and is used solely to understand traffic patterns and improve our website. It is not linked to your identity and is not associated with your quiz responses in any way.

3. 🧩 Quiz and Test Data

This is the most important section for most users. Here is exactly how our tests handle your data:

• All test logic runs in your browser. When you answer questions, your responses are stored temporarily in your browser's working memory (JavaScript variables).
• Your answers are never sent to our servers. We have no database of quiz responses, results, or scores.
• Your results are calculated locally. Your score or personality type is calculated entirely by the JavaScript code running in your browser.
• Closing or refreshing the page deletes everything. Once you navigate away, all of your test data is permanently gone — even from your own device.
• We do not use browser cookies to store your quiz data.

In plain terms: we genuinely have no record of what you answered, what score you received, or which personality type you got.

4. 🍪 Cookies

PsychSelfTest uses a minimal number of cookies. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party behavioural targeting cookies.

We may use the following types of cookies:

• Essential cookies: Required for the basic functioning of the website (e.g. WordPress session cookies). These do not contain personal data.
• Analytics cookies: If we use an analytics service (see Section 6), it may place a cookie to distinguish unique visitors. This is done with anonymised data only.

You can control and/or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Disabling cookies will not affect your ability to use any of our tests.

PsychSelfTest is committed to not sharing your data with third parties for commercial purposes. We do not:

• Share your quiz data with any partner, advertiser, or data broker
• Use Facebook Pixel, Google Ads conversion tracking, or any behavioural retargeting tools
• Embed social media tracking scripts on our test pages

We use Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com) to load typography on our website. When your browser loads a font, Google receives your IP address as part of the standard HTTP request. You can review Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

Our website is hosted on a web server. Your IP address and standard server log data are processed by our hosting provider as part of normal web operations. Our hosting providers are contractually obligated to handle data in accordance with applicable data protection law.

6. 📈 Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting analytics tools to understand how visitors use our website in aggregate. If we use Google Analytics, it is configured with IP anonymisation enabled, meaning your full IP address is not stored. We do not use analytics data to identify individual users or link behaviour to personal identities.

We may track aggregate metrics such as: which pages are most visited, average time on page, which tests are most popular, and geographic region of visitors (country-level only).

None of this data is linked to your quiz answers or personal identity.

7. 👶 Children's Privacy

PsychSelfTest offers screening tools that include versions suitable for parents to complete on behalf of children (for example, our child autism and ADHD screening options). However, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.

Because our tests require no registration and collect no personal data, there is no risk of a child's personal information being stored on our platform. Parents and guardians complete child-focused tests on behalf of their children, and the results remain entirely within their browser.

If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately at the address in Section 11 and we will take prompt action.
